BOXING IX BRITAIN. MORAX BEATS GODDARD. (Received 9.30 a.m.) | LONDON, May 22. J Frank Morau the American heavy- ! weight, defeated .Toe Goddard (England) in the second round of their match at the Holborn Stadium. The men started at a rare pace. Goddard having the best of the first round, ending with left nnd right to the Jnw. He also boxed well nt the opening of the second round, hut Moran rushed in nnd put Goddard down with a right to the jaw for nine seconds. Goddard rose immediately, and was downed for eight. He was now weak, and Moran again brought him down with a terrific right to the Jaw. Goddard was unable to rise and was counted out. —(A. and X.Z.)
