MYSTERIOUS FIRES.
IN PRIVATE HOSPITAL.
NINE INCIPIENT, OtTTBBEAKS*

CARTERTON, this day.
Mysterious outbreaks of fire occurred in Nurse .Strang's private hospital on Saturday night and Sunday. An alarm was given at 10 p.m. on Saturday, and the brigade arrived to find the medical dressing cupboard, in which was & heap of kapok, aflame.
After tlie danger was averted, and all had retired, another outbreak was discovered, but was subdued without the brigade. 'Further outbreaks occurred on Sunday. &
In all nine incipient fires were extinguished. The brigade was called down once -more, when the dining-room curtains and blinds were destroyed.
