The Courthouse was packed this morning with an expectant crowd in anticipation of the charge of attempted murder beingy heard against C. E. Midf-y (Mayor of Wanganui), but curiosity *a3 left unsatisfied.
Medical men ref need to allow CressweTl to make a statement. Although he is making satisfactory progress, and there is every reason to believe that his recovery is certain, the doctors woaid not consent to any ri*k being taken. Mackay was therefore further remand*-.
