Auckland's portion being about 2,450 tons. THE NAVUA ARRIVES. The Island steamer Navua arrived from Fiji yesterday afternoon, and berthed at the Hobson -wharf. She loaded a full cargo of sugar at Lautoka, and proceeded to Suva, which port she left on May 18th. .She has had fine weather throughout her trip, save for a moderate gale on Friday Inst. She Is to return to the Islands on , .'hunsday. R.M.S. MAKURA. The R.M.s. Makura arrived from Vancouver, via ports, yesterday morning, and berthed at the Queen's wharf shortly before noon. She is due to return at 3 pjn. on Thursday. ZEALAXDIC TO-XIGHT. Messrs. I* D. Nuthan received a wireleaa from the Zealandic this morning to the effect that she will arrive here from Liverpool, via Australian ports, to-night or tomorrow morning. iShe has some 1,500 tons of general cargo for this port. PAFAROA DELAYED. The officers of the Somerset, which arrived from «t. John this morning, report that they passed the New Zealand Shipping; Company's steamer Paparoa near Pitcalrn island, where she was meeting with heavy weather. The vessel left the canal about three days before them, but was not making the speed to which they attained, it is unlikely. they say, that she will arrive here until Thursday, or later. The Paparoa has 49 saloon and 252 steerage passengers. SOMERSET ARRIVES. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Somerset arrived from England, via St. John, this morning, and berthed at the Queen's wharf shortly before noon. An uneventful voyage is reported from her leaving London on 'February 22. She then went to Avoumouth. loading for Australia, and -proceeded across the Atlantic to St. John. completing her loading there. She spent almost four weeks In tfcat port, and left ou April 10. taking with her a cargo of paper, motor cars, and pianos. The weather from Avonmouth to St. John was extremely bad, as was the last week of the trip, but from St. John to the canal and aa far as ltaya island pleasant days -were experienced. The Somerset's total cargo is about 13..100 tons, of which some 2,000 are for Auckland. 'She expects to be here some three or four days before sailing for Wellington. Dunediu. and Australian. ports.
