FRANKLIN SHOW.
INITIAL WINTER EFFORT. BIG FOUR DAY EYECT. The inaugural winter show of the Franklin A. and P. Society, arrangements in connection with which hare been perfected in a manner that ensures success, will be launched to-morrow, and will extend over four days: From a public standpoint the show should prove one of tbe most interesting and varied held in the Auckland province, for apart from the usual exhibit.expected at a winter show other attractions, such as sheepdog trials, and representative hockey and football matchee will interest the throngs that are fiur« to be present at the big outing. The event has brought forth a ready response on the part of pettlers in the Franklin and other counties, with the result that all sections are represented by the best they can produce. The poultry and dog sections are also particularly well represented. Special train arrangements whereby Aucklanders can Jcave the city shortly after one o'clock on Saturday and return the same evening are provided.
