SAFER OUT OF THE CONVOY.
AN ORDER OR A roROERT. (Received 10.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, May 13. Mr. Josephus Daniels (Secretary to the Navy) alleged that a telegram on the Subject of produced previously before the Naval Investigation Committee of the Senate, at Admiral Sims' instance, was a forgery. Mr. Daniels denied knowledge of the document, which Instructed Admiral Sims that American ve_s.l. were safer when armed arid sailing independently the* When convoyed. Admiral Sims, during his evidence, declared that the receipt ot this message made hint ready to jump overboard.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
