REPATRIATION BOARD.

The Auckland District Repatriation Board met yesterday. Sir. A. iW. Gillies presiding. The various reports show, an increase in activities during the past, week as compared with rpceut similar periods'. Applications for business loans, the maximum of which is _dOO. were received from 37 men, and of this number 20 were recommended, and'one granted. Furniture loans, maximum £75. were granted In 23 Instances, while three were declined. The industrial report showed that 52 men were still on the roll. At the .beginning of the week there were 50. and 45 additional registrations were? made during the week. Employment was found for 32 men. Eight apprenticeships were completed, and the applications for return of the subsidy were recommended. Two applications-for loans to purchase tools were recommended, while sustenance lor pupils _t'technical schools; etc., was- favourably considered in six cases. School fees were recommended in 13 eases, and another man was recommended a subsidy In'his position as an apprentice.
