THE LEAGUE GAME. GROUNDS FOB THE JCNIOBS. The Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League met last evening, Mr J Cariaw presiding. Applications for registration with the Auckland Leagne and a match with the English team were considered from the Tauloarnnui Union. In respect to the former It was decided to admit them as a District League, and the latter was referred to the New Zealand Council The question as to who should be their delegate had to be considered, as the result of their nominee, Mr. Stsllworthy, being aosble to accept under the conditions that apply to delegates' voting powers. It was accordingly decided to recommend Mr. Levlen for the office. The CJtj Hovers Club wrote protesting against the condition of the Kingsland ground on which their fourth class representatives were to hare played last Saturday, but the match wms abandoned, the referee refnslng to allow the came to go on so bad was the Condition of the ground. It was reported that the sum of 30/ had been paid for clearing the ground. The payment was approved. Later in the evening a deputation from the Junior Advisory Board waited on tke League In respect to grounds, and after lengthy consideration it was decided that grounds at Point Cherailer and Richmond bbooM be marked off In preparation for use by Junior teams. INSURANCE. The question of Insurance was another matter that engaged the attention of members, the conditions under which payment should be paid being carefully discussed; also, a deputation comprising the chairman, and Messrs. Howe, Ross, and.letlen, were deputed to Interview companies regarding several propositions that had beeen put to the League. TRANSFERS. Transfers were granted as follows: R. It.
