MURDER IN FIJI.
■ A CHINAMAN SHOT. (Special to "Star.") SUVA (Fiji), April 26. News arrived here on Friday that on Monday a native named Eroni «i Sloce had fatally ehot a Chinaman baker attached to a Chinese store at Lakelia, the largest island of the Lav Group, on Mon&y. It ie reported that the Fijian was refused bread after bourn, and after angrily crying out that the King would not allow euch an injustice shot the Chinaman named Arthur w Sin Sing) in the stomach. The local J.P. was i-alled. and' going to Kroni's house to arrest him (the roko and buli both being in Suva to ccc H.R.H.) was threatened with the gun, and being unarmed retired, but next morning, with a neighbouring planter's help, effected the axreet.
