PUBLIC TRUST AGENCY.
COMMISSION DISPUTE. James Shiner Bond, district agent for the Public Trust Office at Hamilton from __!)_ lo ll'II), applied to the Supreme Court on Thursday for declaratory judgment determining what moneys lie was entitled to receive following the termination of hi* engagement last July, when a branch "dice was established at Hamilton. The application was heard'by Mr. Justice Sim. It was admitted that Mr. Bond wns engaged to canvass for business, his remuneration consisting of half the commission charged by the office for the administration of estates introduced by him. Mr. Bond claimed that when his services were dispensed with a number of estates which he had introduced had not fallen in for administration, and that he was entitled to his share of any commission that might be charged upon them in the future. The Public Trustee, it was stated, refused to pay him commission on any estates not realised at the termination of his agency. Hi. Honor heard argument, especially on the interpretation of the phrase "business introduced." Judgment was reserved. Messrs. R. L. Ziman and J. Kalraan appeared for the plaintiff and Messrs. H T. Oillies nnd A. H. Johnstone for the Public Trustee.
