WHANGAREI HARBOUR BOARD.
(By Telegraph.—Own correspondent.) WHAXGAREI, this day. Keen interest was taken in the election of three Whangarei county representatives on the Whangarei Harbour Board in view of the recent harbour improvement scheme. The results of the poll were:—Win. Jones (county chairman), 129; J. R. Melnnes (re-elected), i6O; James D. McKeuzie (re-elected), 150, were returned. The other candidates were: A. Carter, 14S; A. McLennan, IIS; H. A. Going, 110; J. E. Holmes, 62; D. Miller, 48; informal, 4. .
