OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The fortnightly meeting of the Otnhuhu ■Borough ■Council took place last evening, the 'Mayor (Mr. A. McDonald) presiding. The unsatisfactory condition of tie pumping plant was the suliject of discussion. It was stated that the Council was paylntr for water at the rate of 9.000 gallons per hour, -whereas tbe plant was only lifting 7.000 gallons. It was resolved that the Water and Drainage Committee report on the matter.
