; The golfing season opened successfully on Saturday last ln spite of the threatening weather. Early ln the morning lt seemed hopeless, but as the day progressed the chances of a game Improved. About j 2 p.m. the rain ceased, and although the ; wind was strong those who ventured out thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
