I'eatson, claimed the transfer, lof certain land in Fenton Street,j j Rotorua, from Frederick Sams-on,: i Thomas Samson, W. H. Teape, Margaret [ j Samson, and A. J. lies. The allegation' was that twenty years ago, Ptateon' e>;chan?eil another property foT the land in qtiesron, nhich was then owned byj one of the defendants. F. Samson. It, was acknowledged rhat Peatson did not secure a transfer, and after paying the: rent of fhe land for some year* he' ceased to do so, his explanation being j that he had fail-en on hard times, ftlean- 1 whijp Thomas Samson, another defen-j dant, had erected building's on the property and apparently had assumed I possession. The defence was that fehe | plaintiff had never made °rood his c' im to the property or taken effective ' possession of it, and by his twenty years' • neglect had forfeited whatever rights he ! might originally 'have had. H. H. ' Ostler appeared" for the plaintiff and itr, J. B. Johoeton for the defence. The ■ case is proceeding. !
