cl —— RAILWAY TRAFFIC SUSPENDED BETWEEN KA.IPARA FLATS AND RANGANUI. Several landslips have occurred on the section of railway between Hoteo and Waybv, 69 miles from Auckland, as the result of recent rains, dis.ocatincg traffic oii the Northern line. Traffic will remain completely suspended betwen Kaipara Fiats and Kanganui until -such time as the debris is cleared, which it is hoped to accomplish by to-morrow morning. The formation on this section is verysoft, it being a. frequent occurrence, for land slips to take place here after heavyrains. The train which was due to leave Wellsford for Auckland at 9.25 a.m., and the express train due to leave Ranganui at 12.20 a.m. for Auckland, could not get through, and were therefore canfelled. The train that left Auckland at 10.SO a.m. this morning for Ranganui Vill only proceed as far as Kaipara .Flats, and will return for Auckland jtbout 5 p.m., arriving about four and ahalf hours later. i It is expected that the line will be Cleared to-night, in which case the 12.20 (Ranganui express train will be brought through, but it is impossible to say at present the time of arrival at Auckland.
