The 4rst round of the Dunlop Shield matches was played in Auckland yesterday, when Eden and Epsom beat Whangarei by three matches to nil, and Remuera similarly defeated Taumarunui. while Onehunga beat Hamilton 2—l. The semi-finals. Remnera v. Parnell lat Parnelli and Edea and Epsom v. Onehunga (at Onehunga) ar*, being decided to-day, and the inals will be played to-morrow on the Eden and Epsom rouits, where that club's ordinary club matches will be held also. In tournament form.
