FBUIT AND PRODUCE. E. TURNER AND SONS, LIMITED. Fruit.—E. Turner and Sons. Limited report that at to-day's sale very Tree •luantitles of fruit were sold, particular apples, pears, and Tomatoes. Apples are low in price, especially second and third k ,?£.. inallty. Hon Curetlen pears firmed a little, first class quality selling at from o/ to i/ and in a few Instances 7/tt per case. Tomatoes sold at Irom 3/0 to 4/0 for most lines of Xo. 1, No. 2 from l/u to -/*>- Graveusteiu apples are in good supply, and are the cheapest they have been for years. Nectarines are almost doae, and very high prices are ruling. Hothouse grapes are coming iv freely, with a Halrly good demand. Piums are getting done, all lines bringing good prices. Peaches are also much higher lv price to-day than they were on Tuesday, owing to the smaller quantities coming forwaru. 'Frisco oranges realised from 25/ to 30/ per case; local lemons from 10/ to 20/, according to quality (per bushel case).

The Navua is due with a fresh shipment of bananas at the end of next week, the market at the present time being absolutely bare.

Produce.—New potatoes, good quality lid to ljd per lb, small jd to Id per Id; local onions, ljd to lid per lb; pickling onions, ljd to 2Jd per lb; lettuce, 9d to 1/0 dozen; cabbage, 1/ to 4/0 per dozen; cucumbers, from 1/0 to 3/0 dozeu; beans, 2d to 3d pei lb; peas, from 2}d to 4d per lb; kumaras, from 2jd to 4d per lb; celery, 6d to 9d pel •bundle; pumpkins, from 1/ to 3/ each; beetroot. 7d to lOd per dozen. Dairy Produce.—Eggs, 2/S to 2/10 dozen; butter, 1/U per lb; honey ln comb, 7d per lb.

Poultry.—Roosters, from .3/6 to 7/ each; cockerels, from 4/0 to 8/0 each; hens, from 8/8 to 0/(! each; Indian Runner ducks, 2fi to 4/8; heavy breed, 4/ to 6/9; chicks, sale very poor. All heavy fcreed table birds are selling well, but lighter breeds, such as Leghorns, are uot lv very keen demand.
