BOY AND GIRL DROWNED.
WANGA'KTJI, Wednesday. A double drowning accident occurred at the TJpokoporto landing, 30 miles up the 'SVanganui River to-day, the victims being Richard George Neal, aged 18 years, and Enid Bayly, aged 10 years, whose mother resides in Wanganui. It is understood that the girl, w-ho was spending a holiday on her uncle's farm, got into difficulties while bathing, and that Neal endeavoured to save her. The bodies have not been recovered.
