A DRUNKEN" HUSBAND. Lena Kathleen Pccre (Mr. L. A. Rogers) sought dissolution of her marriage with James AY. Peers, bofore Mr. Justice Chapman, yeetcrday afternoon, on the ground of habitual drunkenness on the part of the respondent and continuous failure on his part to maintain her and the two children of the marriage. Petitioner explained that ehe was married to the respondent at Waipawa in October, '1907, since when he had been an habitual drunkard. They lived together for nearly thirteen years, during the whole of which period her husband's drunken habits were distressing to her. 'He worked at his trade an a carpenter, but spent all his money in drink, and what household bills were paid were paid 'by petitioner's mother, with whom ehe had lived since last year.

A decree nisi was jrranted, with custody of the children for petitioner, and costs on the usual scale.

NOT FAITHFUL TILL DEATH. Catherine Elizabeth Jackson ('Mr. L. A. Tlogers) was granted a decree nisi for the dissolution of Tier marriage with William Herbert Jackson, on the ground of adultery. Petitioner explained that the marriage took place in February, 1913, at Auckland, and after living in various places they went to Napier. Her husband made no provision when in IHawke'e Bay for her maintenance, and she went to work and earned her own living. In different letters he had admitted misconduct with other women, and petitioner had also received letters from other women disclosing illicit relations with her liusband. A military medica] orderly named \V. S. .Tolly gave evidence that he had known the respondent for the past, three years, and eta ted that he had been introduced to a woman in Wellington by Jackson as Mrs. Jackson, and knew that the pair were living together as man and wife, though respondent told witness before they parted that the woman wan not his wife.
