CONTROL OF THE WOOL CLIP.
AN AUSTRALIAN SCHEME. (Received 11.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Wool Council proposes to submit a definite scheme for wool control to a vote of the Commonwealth wool growers operating the 1020-21 clip, by which owners will be compelled to send all the wool to brokers for valuation in the usual way. It will then be submitted to Dublic auction at such time, places and in such quantities as the joint council considers can be absorbed by the world's wool trade. There will be no fixation of prices, and no pool. The council asks growers to support the scheme in view of the unprecedented accumulation of wool, which if not temporarily controlled will endanger future values.—(A. and N.Z. Gable.)
