JACK DEMPSEY'S NERVES.
WORRIED OUT OF HIS LIFE.

NEW YORK, February 11
Tn a special interview. Jack Dempsey, the world's boxing champion, said that he was worried out of hie life by the promoters' campaign, but most of the American offers were bogus. He had reached such n state of nerves that he was almost afraid that his coffee was poisoned. Mr. Cochran. tho English promoter, is returning to Liverpool. He said that negotiations with Dempsey were continuing, and hi; liopcs to arrange the nght for London. D.-mpsey receiving 200,000 dollars and (arpentier £20,000, witli £1000 for expenses. If his negotiations failed the mutch would most likely be held in New York—(A. and X.Z. Cable.!
