THE SAMOA TRIP.
'FLU ON THE .MOKOIA. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DO'EDIX, Monday. A rumour, which is often being repeated, hangs persistently round the waterfront in respect to the Mokoia's projected trip to Samoa with the Parliamentary part} , , and the substance of it is that the steamer will experience some difficulty in getting a way from Xew Zealand. The Mokoia is at present being ■fitted for the trip at Port Chalmers. The rumoured "hold up" does not seem to be applicable to the workmen who have been carrying out the work required to be done on board, dwpitc the fact that anumber of influenza cases have had to be removed from the ship. It was reported to-day that further cases of influenza had developed among thfl crew. The Kaiapoi arrived at Port Chalmers on Sunday evening from Westport, and berthed alongside the Mokoia to bunker that vessel. This morning coaling operations did not go on, as the waterside workers declined to go on board the Mokoia because influenza cases are still developing on her. The Kahvpoi was hauled to another bertli to discharge into hulks.
