SUICIDE AT ONEHUNGA.

MAX'S THROAT CUT. A returned soldier named Thomas Corcoran, 42 years of age, was found dead about 4.45 p.m. yesterday, at "the residence of his sister in Lower Queen Street, Onehunga. Mr. W. J. Dwyer reported to the police that he found the deceased, who had suffered from shell sliock, lying in the 'backyard with his throat cut, and a razor* in his hand. 1 For the past two months deceased "had resided with his sister. He had done no work of late, and complained of chest trouble. Yesterday he appeared in his usual good spirits, and had his dinner at one p.m. He was last seen alive at 3.30 p.m. by liie nephew, Jlr. W. .T. i Dwyer. When Dr. H. Tresidder arrived on the scene he found that Corcoran was quite dead, but had not been long dead. An inquest was conducted this morning by Mr. D. A. Sutherland, district coroner, who returned a verdict of suicide -whilst suffering from a nervoue breakdown, the result of shell shoe.
