The semi-final and final games, between the Mount Eden four, skipped by Findlay, and the Rocky Nook team under the veteran Wakerley, afforded the green-side men several hours of genuine interest. There was practically nothing between tne two teams in the matter of merit, ( although the Mount Eden lead, in spite of his heavier years, proved on the whole doughtier than his opponent in spying out the lay for his followers. Both skips played splendid games, and each in his own style captained cannily, and the championship was open till | within the last four or five heads , played.
