WELLINGTON, this day.

The transport Paparoa, with 220 men of all ranks, 160 wives and 53 children arrived at (S.4r> a.m. to-day, and berthrrf at 10 o'clock. The health of all on board is good.

During the trip there was an outbreak of chicken pox and measles, but no serious eases occurred.

Complaints are made by the meb regarding the accommodation provided for their wives. They also complaineo that there }\as no ship's surgeon on board. Details for stations beyond Marion to Auckland, including Rotorua and Thames, left Thorndon station at 12.45 p.m.
