Donald, Ltd., report as follows:—During the week prices for all classes of fruit have advanced, and in some cases prices. have been reached which are a long way ahead of anything previously 'obtained: ' TJils remark applies to bananas,- ■a- ehoiee- ' sample reaching the exceptionally high figure of 38/ per case. There.is very.little.difference in the fruit market with the exception of strawberries, which have' advahceil slightly on account of the cold • weather , curtailing the supplies. Citrus fruits.. jire . .slightly easier, ' the Niagara having brought a shipment of Sydney fruit in bad order, which consequently had to be quitted. Canadian apples arrived at the beginning of the week, and have turned out exceptionally good, and competition for the best varieties of these is very keen. Local apples are about done, a few Stunners fetching .18/ per case, and Dougherty 10/ at auction. Lemons, firsts realised 115/ to 18/ per case. Gooseberries hare commenced to come forward, and are in good .d.e.mapd,.as.a.r.e local tomatoes and loquats. A shipment of Fiji bananas arrived by* the Talmle, and sold under been demand at 24/ per case. TViHAXGAREI, Thursday. Xortli ■ Auckland • Farmers' Co-op., Ltd., reports as follows: —We 'held our monthly sale at Towai on Saturday, 25th October, when more than the advertised number came forward. There were no big steers yarded. Two-year steers brought £6 to f6 10/; 2-year heifers, fo 10/ to £10 10/; yearllngs, ■ £2-2/to-£3-14/.

At Manngakanamea, on Tuesday, 2Sth, we had a full yarding of cattle and sheep. The cattle 'generally" looked much better than the previous month, and we report a good clearance. Four-year steers, £12 5/ ■to £13 10/; 3-year steers, £10 to £10 7/; 2 to 23-year steers. £6 10/ to £9: empty cows, £6 15/ to £7 18/; 2-year heifers £5 10/; year.l}ngs,. .£2 .10/. to. £3 10/; wethers, £2; empty ewes, 29/.
