The following motion was passed at a special meeting of the Onerahi Town Board last night: -'That the Town Board, having heard read by the chairman the resolutions passed hy the Whangarei Harbour Board at their last meeting on September 11, does now agree to withdraw their protest against clause 4 of the Empowering Bill, and resolve that the Minister of Marine be notified tc that effect." "At Waiuku early this morning a married man named F. Blackburn, a wheelwright, sustained a severe wound in the left eye while at work in Mr. Adamson's workshop.
