The principal items are: Camps, including concentrating and camps in Egypt, Samoa, and England, €81.1.110; equipment, iU.351,G4U: home defence, including guarding wharves, cable-, etc. £380.441; hospital ship ALaheiio, £ 437,300: Jlarama, £311,607: hospitals in New Zealand and England, £923,754; expenses of administering Military Service Act, £286,731; National Efficiency Hoard administrative expenses. .Cl">.8Ul: Munitions Supplies Department, u'hninistration, £10,S40: pay and allowances, JC25.072,825; payment War Office per capita for maintenance, ammunition, equipment, and extra transport for New Zealand troops in the field. 4115,735,000; expenses prisoners of war in Samoa and New Zealand, £10:i,0S0; purchase of horses, t215,720; rations dC2,y30,510: Soldiers' Financial Assistance Board. £219,033; transports and fares. £1,512,709; charter, hire, and reconditioning of vessels chartered to New Zealand Government, £4,946,607; charges and expenses of raising loans. £imS.74(): Discharged Soldiers' Information Department. £20,673; superannuation paid by i.ovcrumeiit on account of Public Servants in the Forces, £ 105,097; commiesiuus ol inquiry, XOOIS.
