The Rnaline, en route from WeUington to England, arrived at Newport Xews on September 11, and Is due at Plymouth) about September 23. R.M.S. MAKURA. The departure of the Royal mail steamer Makura lias been porfponed until 5 p.m. Sic calls at Suva and Honolulu, en route to Vancouver. MOKOIA POSTPONED. The Union Company's coastal steamer Mokoia has had her departure postponed ■until noon to-morrow. En route to Dunedin she calls at Napier, Wellington, and Lyttelton. ■MARAROA RELIEVES MONOWAI. The Monowai. -n-lrich lias been engaged in the W eliingron-Lyttelton ferry service while the Mararoa has been undergoing overhaul, is to be relieved by the latter vessel on Friday at Lyttelton. The Monowai wia then load a full general cargo at Lyttelton for Auckland, and is expected at this port about Tuesday night.

W.ESTRALHA TO-MORROW. A wireless communicaition was received this morning from the Huddart Parker steamer Wesrtralia, en route to Auckland from Sydney, stating that sic -would- arrive here to-morrow morning at S o'clock. She left Sydney on Friday evening ami has 157 passengers and 1700 tons of cargo for this port. TSie Westralia will berth at the ■Queen's wharf, and is timed to sail on Saturday night for East Coast ports, Wellington and .Lyttel'ton, Dunedin and Bluff, .thence to Melbourne. Owing to t-he coat position in New Zealand, tie Westralia has to bring sufficient coal .to take 'her back to Melbourne. This has necessitated utilising cargo space for the carriage of coal, and in consequence it will greatly limit the amount of cargo which the vessel can load for coastal ports.

UNION COMPANTS MOVEMENTS. The Araiura sailed for Cast Coast ports last night, and is due back here from Gis•borne on Friday. At present she te timed to sail on the return journey on Saturday at noon. The Wanaka is expected to sail from Newcastle this morning for Auckland with a cargo of coal, and should arrive here next Monday. Tie Tara-n-era will not get swe-r fnr ■Sydney to lend for the Bluff this week. It will pronably be next month before her overhaul is completed. The Katoa arrived at Westport yesterday nrornmg. She is to load coal there and general cargo at Wellington, and is due uere about the end of the week. The Kaiapoi is up to sail for Grevmoath at noon to-morrow. I WAIRUNA FOR AMERICA.

The Wairuna, tiie new cargo steamer of over 5000 tons recently added to the Union Company's fleet. Is to load In Australia and Auckland for the 'Pacific Slope. The Wairuna on her maiden run to these waters loaded at South American ports and San Francisco and discharged ipart cariro at this port, and then proceeded to Melbourne, Sydney, and Newcastle. She is due here to fill up about October 31. ATUA IX PORT. The Union Company's Atua, alter about five months' absence from this port, arrived this morning from Suva. -She left Auckland on April 23 for Sydney, and subsequently .made a trip to and from Wellington, arriving back at Sydney on May 22. She was then laid up by the maritime strike for fourteen weeks at Sydney. She resumed activities again on August 26, sailing for FijL She loaded 2175 tons of sugar at Lautoka, and left Suva with passengers at noon on Thursday last. She berthed at the Queen's wharf this morning, and after landing her passengers and taking on stores and water, proceeded to Chelsea to discharge her shipment of sugar.
