IN LUNATIC ASYLUMS. | PROTEST FROM GISBORN'K j (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Monday. It was reported at a meeting of the| Citizens' Defence Committee to-day that I the Gisborne Labour Representation l Committee had discussed the treatment! of shell-shock cases, and had passed the following resolution:— | ''That this meeting deplores the action j of the authorities in sending a number] of returned soldiers, namely, shell-shock cases, to a public asylum, where their I surroundings great'y minimise their I chances of recovery, and strongly urges that immediate steps be taken for the] establishment of special places through- 1 out the Dominion for the treatment of; affected men." j It was decided to support the resolution and communicate with the Minister.
