The International Brotherhood Con- > gross, at which delegates from 20 coun- ■ ! tries were present, opened in the City 'Temple. The Bishop of London (Dr. F. 'I Wilmington Ingram), by a special sert' mon in St. Paul's, had given it a great send off. He eulogised the League of Nations as the greatest Christian ideal ever put forward, and fervently hoped that imion of the churches would be realised. Dr. Clifford (president), in his inaugural address, described the Congress as achieving the union of East and West on the indestructible basis of fraternity. • He added that the Brotherhood was marchinff, and nothing could stop it.
