AUSTRALIA'S MEAT SURPLUS.
ENTITLED TO WORLD'S PARITY. UNIFIED NEGOTIATIONS. (Received 11.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. A conference of meat exporters and farmers of the Commonwealth discussed the termination of tho existing contracts for tho sale of the exportable surplus of meat ,and also the possibility of new I contracts. A deputation then waited on Mr. Hughes and submitted resolutions which stated that producers were entitled to the world's parity for all exportable surplus produce. They urged that instead of having four separate bargaining Governments it was advisable that Mr. Hughes should open negotiations, price and conditions to be approved by tho exporting State. Mr. Hughes, in roplv. promised' every assistance—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
