TRANSPACIFIC CABLE.
NEW YORK, August 6 (delayed). Advices from Tokyo received at Washington state that Viscount Uchida (Japanese Foreign Minister) is the promoter of a plan to lay a new cable between the United States and Japan. Viscount Uchida will shortly leave for the United States to consummate the undertaking. It is understood that he will go to England to negotiate for the manufacture of the cable.— (A and N.Z. Cable.)
