HORSES FOR AUSTRALIA. Sasanof. Spanner, Lady Ball, Golden Bubble. Taunaha, Delight, and Surveyor were shipped to Australia by the Niagara yesterday. Their trainer was privileged to use the inside grass nt Ellerslle on Wednesday, and took the advantage to run uls horses along. The trade was a bit on the .heavy side. Spanner, alone, galloped six furlongs in 1.20, a good performam-p. Sasanof was i Blackened out over a mile, which he left behind in 1.48 4-5. Surveyor joined in over the last six furlongs, and was uuder a pull to keep with his companion, the threequarters of a mile taking 1.22 2-ii. Golden Bubble nnd Tauncba were sent six furlongs, the rider of the former wearing spurs. The three-Tear-old was very green, running about a lot, and Taunaba easily held him at the finish, the journey taking 1~23. Lady Ball, with the assistance of Delight over the first three furlongs, traversed six furlongs in 1.22 2-3. RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. The weather conditions at Riccarton were very -wintry this morning, rain falling at intervals, while training was In progress. Ail the fast work was done on number six grass track, which was very heavy. Pretty Bobby beat Jeaunot over a mile in 1.55. Sir Solo finished up in front of_Coalltlon over a similar distance In 1.55 4-5. Art, assisted by Amaranehus over the last part covered six furlongs In 1.23. Renekah enslly held Imaribbon over five furlongs in 1.12. All Over beat Omahu over six furlongs Iα 1 24 4-5. Parisian Diamond beat Kilkee over five furlongs In 1.11. Hiero sprinted half a mile in 35 2-;>. Vascular was brought home by Red Book over a mile in 2.1 3-5. Waimai and Signature did two rounds, the last mile taking 2.5. Wild Pilgrim and Glenshire beat Hardshot over seven furlongs in 1.44. Paraoa ran nine furlongs, the last six taking 1.26. Form Up easily held Potentiality over five furlongs in 1.10 4-5, with Red Book several lengths away. Elocution covered seven furlongs In 1.43 3-5, Kllboyne doing a furlong less In 1.23 4-5. Cerebus spurted half a mile In 54 l-ss. Bon Reve, Morecambe, Dardanelles, Merry Lad, Gazique, Snniiel and Multlvo were among those which did useful tasks on the fiat. •Master Moutoa. and Cynic jumped two hurdles Cynic shirking his task. Tradition and Cylinder did a Tound of the big fences, both jumping well. Gang lAwa' gave a good exhibition over once round the fences. Lochella and Lawsuit followed in a similar task, going much faster, with Lochella an easy winner. Master Strowan did a round over the fences at a much faster pace than lie has gone since he 'has been here, and afterwards did strong work on the flat. THIS MORNING'S GALLOPS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. this day. Top weather was line while training operations were In progress at Riccarton this morning. The sand and tan tracks were open, and most of the work was done on the sand, which provided fair going, though still slushy from the effects of recent rain. Proceedings were very uninteresting. Gamecock galloped a smart half-mile up the back. Maßter Strowan nnd Gang-Awa , did a working gallop of a mile and a-quarter. Gold Kip moved well in a sprinting task. Lad, Dardanelles, Sir ' Solo, and Battle Array were among the horses that did strong work. Ron Reve hud a lot of trotting exercise, and Master Lupin did steady pacing. Most of the other horses were restrirVd tn easy tasks in preparation for the final gallops to-morrow.
