POLICE COURT.
(Before Mr. J. E. Wilson, S.M.) MISCELLANEOUS. Karl Christiansen (19), a youth from the country, who had been idling about town, and ha-d got amongst undesirable associates, was convicted of vagrancy, and ordered to come up for sentence when called on, a condition being that he should return home. Two charges against Angus Calder of having ill-treated a child in hi 3 custody were adjourned for" hearing on Wednesday. Cornelius Sullivan (31), on a charge of the theft of a rug belonging to the Northern S.S. Co., was remanded till Friday. Alexander J. Watt, charged with attempted suicide at Remuera on July 3, was remanded till Wednesday. John Eobt. Price (50), charged with the indecent aesault of a girl between January 1 and February 4, was remanded till Thursday. DRUNKENNESS. Edith 'Bennett (37), charged with a breach of her prohibition order, and the! theft of a handbag, wa-s remanded for a' week for medical treatment, the SubInspector stating , that accused was practically ''in the D.T'e." Four first offenders forfeited bail, and two others were convicted and discharged. I
