RETURNING AIRMEN.
M4.JOK KEITH CALDWELL. Major Keith Caldwell, H.C, D.C.F., and bar, the only sou of Mr. D. R. Caldwell, of Auckland, is at present in Sydney, where lie arrived by the Bremen last Saturday. He is now awaiting a passage to New Zealand.
Major Caldwell has ha-d a distinguished career in the Flying Corps. He gained his MC. for bringing down the first live enemy machines, and is officially -credited altogether 'with _1 machine*. During his service he has been six times shot down by hostile machines, and has h_d many thrilling encounters with enemy aircraft.
Lieutenant -I. ('. Griffith, one of the officer., who relumed by the Mahia. left ■with the Sixth Contingent, and saw four years' service, having been for some time in Egypt, and invalided to England, win-re he joined the Hying Corps. He was taken prisoner at Vpres, where his mae-hirre was shot down by the Germans. He was imprisoned atKarlsruhe and other camps for IS months, until the armistice was signed. He is the second sou of the Rev. S. Griffith, of Dunedin.
