OUTSIDE HELP NEEDED. ROME, July 27. Signor Nitti (Italian Prime Minister), speaking in the Senate, said that Italy would be unable to face the coming year without foreign credits, amounting to £400,000,000, for the purchase of raw material. Credit with Great Britain was about to cease, and the obligation of the United States would end on August 31. The United States had forbidden even private credits until the political situation in Italy was cleared up. Signor Nitti urged the cessation of revolutionary propaganda and disorders, in order to enable credits to be re-established.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) •

There is a movement afoot here to send an American polo team to England next summer for a series of games against British teams at Hurlingham, Roehampton, and other English polo centres.
