Captain L. H. Booth, N.Z.M.C, of the Rotorua Hospital staff, hae returned from leave and resumed duty. Mr and Mrs Roderick McKenzie, of Christchurch, are staying at Cargen; also Mr and Mrs J. Williams, of Dunedin. Sergeant Hodgson, of Dunedin South, has -been appointed to Onehunga in succession to Sergeant Rogers, who retired last month. Major "W. Sinclair, the oldest member of the Rangiora Presbyterian Church, was presented by the congregation with an easy chair on her ninetieth birthday. Last Monday her brother-in-law, Mr James Shields, attained his ninetieth year, and the congregation marked the event by making him a similar presentation, in the presence of relatives. Besidee Mre Shields, who is eighty-six years of age, there were also present her sisters, Mrs Sinclair, -who is in her ninetyfirst year, and Mrs. J. Pattereon, who is eig-hty-three years of age. The only other member of this long-lived family is a brother in Scotland, who is eighty-eight years of age, and -who only recently retired from a position which lie held in a lawyer's office. , - ' "" ~
