The position in Auckland with regard to the hoiiwe problem remains practically the same. There is still a great dgniand for houses to rent, a demand which remains unsatisfied, and, as far as can be seen, is likely to do so for some time. -V number of properties are changing hands at good prices. In a sense the prices obtained may be regarded as somewhat inflated, as people who own properties realise that if tliev sell they will be faced with the problem of acquiring another house.
