GERMANS IN RUSSIA.
EVACUATION ORDERED. RETIREMENT FROM RIGA. (By Cable.—Press Association.—.Copyright) (Recenred 2.40 p.m.) LONDON, July 10. Mr Cecil Hannsworth, Under-Secre-tary for Foreign Affairs, stated in. the House of Commons to-day that the Allies had ordered General yon der Goltz, the German Commander, to evacuate the Baltic provinces without delay. Libau had been cleared and aleo Riga. Eastward of the Dvina the withdrawal was proceeding to the westward. The Lettish Provisional Government had been transferred to Riga.— (A. and N.Z.)
