The sheep and cattle had become mere skeletons, and 27 young stock had died. He stated that defendant was a man of high character, but was in delicate health. Mr Bartholomew. S.M.. said it was difficult to account for defendant's action, as it meant a severe loss to himself. Defendant was fined £20 and costs.
