STATE RUN RAILWAYS.
BRITAIN'S DEFICIT LAST YEAR. LONDON, July 10. The /Parliamentary Secretary to the Board'of Trade (Mr W. C. Bridgman) stated in the House of Commons last night that the Government must pay the railways £60,000,000 during the current year under Government control system. Thi ssum includes a working deficiency of £11,500,000 and f45,500,Q00 which had been guaranteed to the companies as net receipts.—(A. and X.Z. Cable.)
