The committee hi charge of the arrangements for the inter-sen ices rifle meeting at Bisloy sustainofl a protest by the Australians and Canadians against the New Zealanders using tlie Ross ritle, on the ground that the Ross is not a service rifle. — (A. and X.Z. Cable.) (Received 10.50 a.m.) LONDON, July 10. The War Office, in response to tho Bisley committee's inquiry, confirmed the statement that the Ross is not a service ; rifle. It will probably be used by the Australian and Xew Zealand teams when they visit America and participate in the shooting competitions.—-(A. and N.Z.)
