The Minister of Health, on the strength of medical officers' reports showing a marked decline in the number of cases in the last few days, expresses the belief that the State has now passed the crest of the influenza epidemic. The deaths in the metropolitan area in the last two days numbered 70.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
