OBITUARY.
MRS. M. E. WORSP. An old resident of this city, Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Worsp, died at her residence, Burwood Crescent, Remuera, aged 78 years. Her husband pre-deceased her eleven years ago last May. When Mrs. Worsp's parents died she went to Sydney with her sister, .Miss Ayers, to a brother who then had a station in New South Wales. Deceased intended to go on to an elder brother in China, but hearing of his death, 6he remained in Sydney, where 6he married Captain Worsp at St. James' Church, about 56 years ago. Two years after her marriage Mrs. Worsp came to Auckland, but returned to Sydney. About 48 years ago Mrs Worsp came to Auckland again, and has lived here ever since. Deceased is -survived by four daughters and two sons. The daughters are Miss Worep, Miss Blanche Wbrsp, Mrs. Frederick Sale, of London, and Mrs W. Thornton. The sons are Messrs. H. E. Worsp, St. Helier's, and S. G. Worep, of Wangarei. MR. T. J. TESCHEMAKER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association). CHBISTCHURCH, this day."" The death is announced of Mr T. J. Tesehemaker, aged eighty. He was one of the early settlers, having arrived at Lyttelton in 1855, and wae for manyyears a prominent pastoralist, retiring about ten years ago. He was al3O a keen sportsman, being one of the originators of the Grand National Steeplechase. He was for several years chairman of the South Canterbury Jockey Olub, also one of the oldest members of the Canterbury Jockey Club, holding the office of steward till the time of his death. He wae a class steward of the Timaru A. and P. Association, forty-five years in succession. He married the eldest daughter of the late Hon. W. Rolleston, and is survived by his widow and three daughters.
