STOWAWAYS ON WAIMANA.
BOARD AT COLON. The arrival of the New Zealand transport Waimana, and the prospects of a cheap trip to the colony offered such a diversion in the routine of two .American service men stationed at Colon that they decided to relinquish their duties and join the returning troops. They successfully secreted themselves on the vessel, and it was not until she was well clear of the Panama that their identity wae made known. It was then too late to return them to their duties, and thqy shared in the welcome home to the Waimana's complement this morning. At present they are being detained by the military, with a view to securing them an early return to America when they, as "returned" boys, will hardly anticipate their arrival home .as the draft did this morning. During the voyage out the "diggers" on board showed their sympathy with their allied comrades in a practical manner by subscribing a sum of £60 for them.
