GLOOMY PROSPECTS. DETERMINED STRIKERS. WIIX CONTINUE STRUGGLE UNTO, CLAIMS ARE GRANTED. (Received 11.35 a_m.) SYDNEY, this day. Prospects of a settlement of the seamen's strike are gloomy, the men announcing that they are determined to continue the strike until their claims are granted. Many thousands have been rendered idle in Adelaide us the result of the shipping strike. Factories are closing and many firms are reducing their staffs.—. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
