STRANDED NEW ZEALANDERS.
DESPERATE OUTLOOK. OVER 600 EXILED. SYDNEY, June 22. The stranded New Zealanders have cabled to Sir James Allen stating that the Moeraki is definitely held up, and the n outlook is desperate. They strongly urge f the issue of immediate instructions to c ! overseas ships, such as the Armah, Shrops I shire, and others which are due, to relieve i, the situation.
,-The number of those stranded is over 000, and is increasing daily. Many are at starvation point, the Government assistance being inadequate. —(A. and N.Z Cable.)
