CAUSED APPENDICITIS.
CHIPPETJ ENAMELWAKB. CAMP DOCTOR'S STARTLING DISCLOSURES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLIXGTON, this day. Dr. Collins states that on taking charge of a camp containing 250 to 280 men he found that there had been 19 cases of appendicitis, each involving an operation. On investigation he found the enamelware in use much chippedAnother case developed, and enamel grit was found in the appendix. The ware was discarded, and since then no cases had occurred. He also found that the number of men suffering from indigestion diminished. Dr. Collins considers it safe to say that both appendicitis and malignant disease of the digestive orgam •have become more frequent since the introduction of enamelware. *
