WELLINGTON, this day. Dr. Maclaurin, chief inspector of exlias circularised local bodies., setting forth precautions that should be used to prevent the. destruction of property and accidents in the course of fireworks displays likely to take place during the Feace celebrations. Dr. MacLaurin recommends that displays should take place in open spaces, away from buildings; that crowds be. kept at a safe distance; and that rockets Ih> set at such an ancle that burning sticks when falling will do no harm.
